Billy D. Bell, was one of the first cowboys in palm beach county, herding cattle on horseback for the family dairy. A member of the Boynton Beach community from infancy, he passed away in the company of his family on November 10, 2025.Billy

A proud veteran of the United States Army, Billy served honorably during World War II and participated in the occupation of Japan from 1946 to 1947. His sense of duty extended beyond military service; he was a devoted member of the Masonic Lodge for over 70 years, where he upheld the enduring principles of integrity, friendship, respect, and service. Billy believed firmly and practiced the Masonic virtues of fortitude, prudence, temperance, and justice.

Billy is the father of Michael Dean, Roger William, Judith Ann, and D. Riley. As a grandfather, he cherished moments with Matthew, Johnathan, Nathan, Lauren, Andrew, Misty, Erica, Cory, Katie, Kelley, J. Kirby, Tony, Jonathan, and Elizabeth.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Ann (née Barnes), his grandson Riley, and siblings Louise, Grover Jr., Lyda, and Kate.

Billy's legacy is defined by his deep love for his family. He is remembered as a proud father to Michael Dean, Roger William, Judith Ann, and D. Riley.

Billy retired as a member of the Teamsters’ Union where he served as shop steward. He was a committed union reformer, successfully suing the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Chauffeur, and Warehousemen and their president James Hoffa before the National Labor Relation's Board in the 1970's.

Billy also enjoyed the repair of small internal combustion engines to the benefit of his friends and neighbors.

He will be remembered and missed by his family, friends, and Masonic brothers. As we honor his memory, we celebrate a life well lived—a life marked by love, integrity, and a commitment to others.
