Cindy L Stoughton

April 13, 1954 — June 9, 2026

Mason

Cindy Lou Stoughton, 72, of Mason, Ohio, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 9, 2026, at Bethesda North Hospital after a 6 year battle with ovarian cancer.

Born on April 13, 1954, in Wayland, Kentucky, Cindy lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. She attended Miami University and found her greatest joy in being a “Nani,” a role that perfectly reflected her heart and deep love for children and family.

Cindy was known for her vibrant personality and infectious laugh that could fill an entire room. She had a flair for fashion and was rarely without one of her beloved hats. She loved to have fun, cherished time with family and friends.

An avid sports spectator, Cindy’s greatest excitement came from cheering on those she loved. She especially treasured watching her grandchildren play sports, supporting her husband’s love of professional hockey, and enthusiastically rooting for all Cincinnati sports teams. Her family will forever remember her spirited encouragement from the stands, her laughter on the sidelines, and the way she celebrated with those she loved.

Above all, Cindy’s greatest legacy is the love she poured into her family. She is survived by her devoted husband, Blaine Stoughton; her daughter, Chelsea Durrett, and her husband, Jason Durrett; her son, Chance Stoughton, and his wife, Kristin Stoughton; her beloved grandchildren, Lucia and Blaine Durrett, Sydney and Asher Stoughton, and Hailey and Jack McCracken; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Wells and JJ McCracken.

Though our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in the promise of Scripture: *“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7. *We rejoice in knowing that Cindy’s faith has become sight and that she now rests in the peace and joy of God’s eternal presence. She gets to embrace her new healthy body, a paradise like no other, the encompassing love of God, and the reunion with her loved ones.

In accordance with Cindy’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, her family will gather privately to celebrate her life, share stories, laugh at cherished memories, and honor the remarkable woman who brought so much love and happiness into their lives.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Ken and Sue Roberts; and her brothers, Kenny Roberts and Eddie Roberts.

Cindy’s laughter, style, and joyful spirit will be deeply missed, but the love she gave so freely and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
