In 1966, they moved to the home on Snider Road in Mason, Ohio to be closer to Bill's job. Besides keeping house on Snider, Deila became employed at a small factory (CM Paula) near Mason. Known as Ruth at Paula, she had many happy years there until she retired after working there more than 22 years. She and Bill were active members of the Kings Point Church of God in Maineville, Ohio for many years. She loved to flower garden and had some of the best beds of traditional perennials around. After retirement, Deila and Bill would get in the car and travel throughout the Southeast and even venture into New York and the Northeast. They particularly loved the Smokies. When not traveling, they would return to "the Farm" for a few days a week. She enjoyed the peace, quiet and fresh air of the country.
She will be missed by those who knew her and loved her. She is surely with Bill in Heaven now.
