Marine Corp Veteran - Devon James Stanaford, born June 2, 1995, passed away on September 20, 2022. Loving son of Heather McWhorter and Greg (Kathleen) Stanaford, beloved brother of Caitlynn and Jess Stanaford, cherished partner of Emily Tekulve and proud father of their baby girl on the way, dear grandson of Sharon (Tim Sorrell) Wilburn, Steve (Jarie) Wilburn, Dale (Gale) Stanaford, Teddi (Larry) Henry, and Constance Crosby, beloved nephew of Jeff (Valeska Corea) Stanaford, Tonya Ruble-Richter, Paige (Jim) Miller, Colleen (Ron Cromer) Shockley, and Patrick (Brook) Crosby, adored cousin of Braden, Baylor, Beck, Trevor, Case, Elijah, Melissa, Mallory, Mindi, and Macy, and loving friend and family member to many others. Devon was a light in many people’s life. He never knew a stranger, was outgoing and welcoming to everyone he met, and most importantly, he allowed others to feel comfortable to just be themselves. He was proud to have been able to serve his country, loved attending concerts, and was thrilled to be welcoming a baby girl into this world. He will be missed deeply by so many. The family of Devon will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home - 400 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040 on Sunday, September 25, 2022 from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. A closing memorial reading will take place following the visitation beginning at 4:00 PM.
