SMITH, Donald Ray, of Lebanon, OH. Passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at the Hospice of Cincinnati in Blue Ash at age 73. Loving father of Adam (Heather) Smith and Jacob Smith. Dear grandfather of Abby, Austin, and Chase. Dear brother of Robert Smith of Hillsboro. Donald is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife of 29 years Beverly Mae (nee Hollon) Smith, parents Nathan Jr. and Venna (nee Jenkins) Smith and brothers, David Smith, Ernist Smith, Cleon Smith, and Michael Smith. A 1970 Kings High School Graduate and a 1976 Lebanon Police Academy Graduate, he served for 14 years with the Mason Police Department. He also had a 30-year career as a golf course superintendent, first at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon and then at Pleasant Hill Golf Course in Liberty Township. Friends may greet family from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at May 16, 2025, 12:00 P.M., at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hospice of Cincinnati Blue Ash Inpatient Care Center.
