Florence M. Rischar, a cherished matriarch, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 8 2024, surrounded by her loving family. A proud resident of Mason, Ohio, Florence was a parishioner of St. Susanna Catholic Parish. Her warm personality and radiant smile made an indelible mark on everyone who was blessed enough to know her.
Florence leaves behind a legacy of love, embodied her six children: Karen Miller, Carl J. (Lisa) Rischar, Steve (Lisa) Rischar, Kathy (Vince) DiTirro, Theresa McAlpine, and Ginny (Scott) Miller. The joy of her life also extended to numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild, each whom will carry the memories of her vibrant spirit.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl A. Rischar, and son, Richard Rischar, along with many cherished siblings. Their memories were interwoven with hers, creating a beautiful tapestry of familiar love.
Florence had a profound appreciation for the outdoors, delighting in biking trips with her family to Van Leunen’s she would ride her bike and many times need to recruit her husband to come gather all of her amazing finds. Florence and her children loved exploring the scenic campgrounds of Stonelick, Hocking Hills, and Cowen Lake and so many other beautiful destinations. These adventures were more than just outings; they were opportunities for laughter, bonding, and the creation of lasting traditions, where evenings spent around the campfire became treasured moments.
Gathering around a table, Florence celebrated life with her loved ones, always embracing the joy of wildflowers and picnics. Her job in customer service allowed her to touch many lives, as she was often the first smiling face others encountered, leaving them uplifted with her contagious joy.
The beautiful heart and infectious smile of Florence will be dearly missed by her family and countless friends. Her legacy of warmth, love, and kindness will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.
