Hugh Collins

Hugh B. Collins, Born May 18, 1934 in Bainbridge, NY, Passed away February 23, 2016. Hugh was the loving husband of Sandra Collins (nee; Somerhalder), devoted father of the late David (Kathy) Collins, Susan Collins, James Collins, and Robert (Staci) Collins, cherished grandfather of Christopher Roberts, Nicholas Roberts, Alexander Roberts, Jonathan Roberts, Sarah Collins, Alice Collins, Victoria Collins, Andrew Bailey and Preston Bailey, and dear brother Kent Collins. Hugh was as devoted and hard worker, working at General Electric for over 50 years as an Aviation Design Engineer. Hugh was a member of the Army serving during the Korean War, Eagle Scout-Scout Master, as well as a paramedic eventually becoming Captain of Union Township Life Squad. Hugh was an Elder at the West Chester Presbyterian Church where he was a Sunday school teacher. Hugh also enjoyed playing cards, hunting and fishing, crossword puzzles, reading, and time spent with family. The family of Hugh will be receiving friends for a memorial service Sunday March 6, 2016 at West Chester Presbyterian Church (8930 Cincinnati-Dayton Rd. West Chester, Oh. 45069) from 12 Noon - 1:00 PM with a celebration of life ceremony to follow beginning at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Chester Presbyterian Church.
