Jean Ann Newcomb

February 21, 1944 — September 15, 2025

Maineville

Jean Ann Newcomb, a cherished resident of Maineville, left this world on September 15, 2025. Her remarkable journey on this earth, marked by love, dedication to her family, and her faith, will forever resonate in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.

As a skilled paralegal at Batsche & Peters Law Firm, Jean earned the admiration and respect of her colleagues, leaving an indelible mark on the legal community. Her professionalism was complemented by a warmth that made her not just a colleague but a beloved friend to many. Jean celebrated her faith and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She carried forward cherished memories of family gatherings and shared moments, which meant the world to her. These experiences shaped her life and brought her immense joy, reflecting her deep love for those she held dear.

Jean's greatest legacy, however, lies in her role as a devoted mother to her children/stepson, Jerry (Jolene) Gladd, Andrew Songer, and Julie (Tim) Hengle. The laughter and achievements of her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she nourished the dreams of Hannah and Paige Gladd, Abigail and Audrey Songer, and Troy and Kyle Hengle with unconditional love.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jean Marlow, spouses James Gladd (d. 1997) and Steven Newcomb (d. 2025). While Jean’s physical presence may be gone, her spirit and the love she cultivated will continue to flourish in the lives she touched. She will be profoundly missed, yet lovingly remembered. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the American Heart Association. A celebration of life will be held in the fall
