Joy Ann Keefer

It is with deep sorrow and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Joy Ann Keefer, a cherished resident of Maineville &  Mason, Ohio. She departed this life on February 16, 2026, embraced by the love of her family.

Joy  Keefer (nee Steffen) was  born on March 24, 1943 Auburn, Indiana to the late John Steffen and Joyce Steffen (nee Fusselman). She was a cherished wife of 54 years to the late Gerald (Gary) Keefer and the devoted mother to the daughters, Kelly Keefer  and Jodi Keefer, whose lives she filled with unwavering support and affection. She is also remembered lovingly by her sisters, Sherry (Thomas) Schaper and Jonnell (Daniel Wiegmann, Sr.) Steffen and her brother Bruce (Sandy) Steffen and as a beloved aunt to Staci Salzbrenner, Jamie Bowman, Roger Mullen, Diana Beamenderfer, Janice Brown, Lisa Hurless, Kris Merillat, Dennis Case, Alan Case, James Keefer and Tara Hullinger. Additionally, she leaves behind many great-nieces and great-nephews who will forever hold her memory dear. 

Joy's legacy is enriched by the love of those who preceded her, including her husband, her parents, her brother Charles Steffen, her nephews Shawn Schaper and Rodney Mullen, her in-laws; James Keefer,  Barbara Case, Beverly Mullen, Robert Mullen, and Donald Keefer.

Joy retired from L3 Communications/Cincinnati Electronics and enjoyed traveling with her husband and visiting her family. She loved music and dancing, one of her fondest memories was rushing home from school and watching American Bandstand everyday and dancing in the living room with her sisters.

She will be remembered for her bright smile and her kindness to all and she will be missed "forever and a day".
