Linda J. Harbin, 77, of Mason, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
Linda shared 56 years of marriage with her husband, David A. Harbin. Together they raised two children: Katie (Kevin) Napierkowski of Brentwood, Tennessee, and Brian Harbin (Carrie Trent Wilson) of Greenwood, Indiana. She was a devoted “Mimi” to her four cherished grandchildren, Lauren, Gavin, Brant and Kenna, who brought immeasurable joy to her life.
Born on August 14, 1948, in Richmond, Indiana, Linda was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Swartzkopf) Senese. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Senese III. She is survived by her brother, Daniel (Kathleen) Senese, and her sister, Sallie Senese.
Linda dedicated more than four decades of her life to education and serving others. She worked for Richmond Community Schools in the roles of Guidance Secretary and Registrar before retiring after 21 years as an Administrative Assistant with Mason City Schools. She took great pride in her work and was known for her unwavering dedication, exceptional work ethic, and willingness to help anyone in need. Colleagues, students, and families alike knew they could always count on Linda’s kindness, reliability, and steady presence.
Outside of work, Linda found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved taking her daily walks, where she never met a stranger and often made new friends along the way. She was an avid reader who always had a good book close by.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 9, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Susanna Catholic Church, 616 Reading Road, Mason, Ohio 45040. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Montgomery, Ohio.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Hospice of Cincinnati in appreciation of the compassionate care provided during Linda’s final days.
