Linda Carol McIlvain, a beloved resident of Middletown, Ohio, departed from this world on May 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Her passing leaves an immense space in the hearts of those who knew her, yet her legacy of love will forever remain. Linda was a graduate 1969 from Little Miami High School.
Linda was a devoted mother to her children: Veronica (Jim) Rigsby, Tammy (Eric) Liming, Elizabeth (Nathan) Hall, and Phillip McIlvain. She cherished her role as a grandmother, delighting in the lives of her grandchildren: Tiffany (Jeremy) Kirkland, Logan (Paige) Rigsby, Matthew (Ashley) Rigsby, Julie Kirkland, Makaylyn Rigsby, Alonah Hall, Gracie Hall, William McIlvain, Savannah Kirkland, Noah Hall, and Scarlett Hall. As a great-grandmother, she showered love upon Andrea Kirkland, Karlah Kirkland, Levi Rigsby, Carter Rigsby, Madison Rigsby, Elaina Rigsby, Karsen Deemer, and Elizabeth Dillavou.
Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Carroll Franklin and Mildred Mae Pierce, as well as her dear brother, Earl Franklin Pierce, and sister, Evelyn Jean Sandlin. Their memories will forever be entwined with hers.
An avid lover of the natures beauty watching from her window and in drawings, Linda found joy in the beauty of nature, especially the sight of delicate butterflies and bright cardinals. Her favorite color was purple, a reflection of the vibrant spirit she brought to those around her. With a talented hand, she imparted valuable skills to others through her sewing and crafting, creating stunning crocheted items that showcased her incredible attention to detail and the dedication she poured into every piece.
Passionate about puzzles, Linda’s determination were evident as she completed each one, bringing joy to herself and those who joined her.
Above all, Linda’s greatest joy was her family and was a devoted homemaker. The stories she shared and the memories created within her home will be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to share in her life’s journey.
Linda's legacy of love and warmth will continue to resonate in the hearts of her family and friends forever. In honor of her cherished memory, You are welcome to wear purple, to honor her favorite color, celebrating the beauty and joy she brought into their lives.
Linda Carol McIlvain will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she loved.
