With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of Malcolm Jack Johnson, a cherished resident of Mason, who departed this life on May 15, 2025. Malcolm's life was a testament to the values of community and brotherhood, embodied in his unwavering commitment to the Mason Masonic Lodge #678 F.& A.M. Here, he fostered connections with individuals from varying backgrounds, united by a shared belief in the fatherhood of God and the brotherhood of mankind.
Malcolm dedicated a significant chapter of his life to The Ford Motor Company, where he not only contributed to the rich legacy of American manufacturing but also found great satisfaction in his work until his retirement.
As a devoted family man, Malcolm was a nurturing husband to his beloved wife, Virgie Johnson. Together, they raised four wonderful children: Charlene Johnson, Sam (Karen) Johnson, Jack (Terri) Johnson, and James Johnson. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather, leaving a legacy that spans generations—eleven grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and fourteen great-great-grandchildren.
An ardent lover of nature, Malcolm found joy in the great outdoors, often spending countless hours fishing with family and friends, cherishing the serene beauty surrounding him. His passion for adventure led him to traverse landscapes on his 4-wheeler, creating indelible memories along the way. Every scene etched in his memory was a testament to his love for exploration and togetherness with those he held dear.
In addition to his outdoor pursuits, Malcolm delighted in the world of card games, where his ingenuity and strategic skills shone brightly, often ensuring his victory. These moments of friendly competition brought laughter and camaraderie among friends and family alike.
Malcolm Jack Johnson will be remembered not only for his many passions but also for the love he so generously shared. His spirit remains alive in the hearts of all who knew him, and he leaves behind a profound legacy of love, integrity, and fellowship that will continue to inspire all who carry his memory forward.
