Mary Geneva Mount, passed away March 20, 2023, at the age of 100.

Born December 24, 1922, to Effie and Pearly Gorsuch of Tylersville, Ohio. Geneva graduated from West Chester High School and Ohio Business College. She married Vernon Mount on July 13, 1941, they had four daughters. Geneva enjoyed watching Ruth Lyons and attended a few television tapings. She and Vernon were long time members of a local card club with friends. Geneva enjoyed quilting for her family, planting gardens, and growing flowers. She was an avid reader and enjoyed putting together and solving puzzles.  Geneva is preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon, daughters Becky Carman and Nikki Palmer, sisters Lucille Wulzen Cornell and Dorothy Gorsuch Stitzel. Sister-in-law Freida White Mount, brothers-in-law Bill Mount, L.t Robert Mount and Victor and Eileen Geckler Mount. Granddaughter Michelle Palmer Gardner. She leaves behind daughters Christy (David) Meyer, and Debby (Don Eberhard) Mount. Important friend Chris (Wendy) Carter. 11 grandchildren; Sarah (Charlie) Meyer, Jeanne Meyer, Mary (Claude) Campion, Joe (Angie) Meyer, Janet Meyer, Mike Carman, Traci (David) Huff, Jeff (Katy) Palmer, Shawn (Fred) Hall, Angie Carter, and Beth (Ryan) Mohler. 14 Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great-Grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren. Nieces: Nancy (Jim) Johnson and Lois (Bill) Cropenbaker, as well as other relatives, kind and helpful neighbors and friends. She enjoyed sending and receiving cards for all occasions. Geneva will always be remembered for her love of cats, ice cream and her smile.

The family of Geneva will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home – 400 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040 on Monday, March 27, 2023, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM with a funeral service to follow beginning at 2:00 PM.
