It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Orbin Jay "Bo" Saylor, who left us on February 7, 2026, at Ohio Veterans Home in Georgetown, Ohio. Bo was a dedicated and proud member of The United States Marine Corp, serving during The Vietnam War. His commitment to his country serves as an enduring testament to his strength and character.Bo was not only a hero in service but also in the loving roles he embraced within his family.
A devoted husband, he shared an unbreakable bond with his wife, Sheila, with a love that had lasted for 59 1/2 years, and as a father, he took immense pride in his daughter, Kimberly Garduno, and her husband, Jesus. The joy of being a grandfather to Yesenia Garduno filled his heart with boundless love. In addition to his immediate family, Bo is remembered fondly by his ten brothers and two sisters, and many nieces and nephews who will carry forward his legacy of love and resilience.
A craftsman at heart, Bo found solace and joy in woodworking. He created countless beautiful pieces of art, each crafted with love and care, which he shared generously with those he cherished. He also had a passion for vintage cowboy films, often escaping into the past through the stories they told.
Above all, Bo’s greatest love was for his faith. He found profound joy in Bible study, dedicating time to embrace and share God's words with those around him.
His spiritual devotion was a cornerstone of his life, shaping the compassionate and loving man he was.As we remember Bo, we celebrate the incredible love he held for his family, his unwavering faith, and his creative spirit.
He was a steadfast source of strength, warmth, and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him.In honor of Bo’s generous spirit, the family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude or Smile Train—causes that reflect his compassionate heart.
Bo will be greatly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved him.
