Robert Gray

Robert H. Gray, passed away on December 12, 2017.  He was born in Abingdon, VA on January 24, 1940 to Harry and Nell Gray.  He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Carole, and a son, Dr. Steven R. Gray of Raleigh, NC, also a sister Patty (John) Clark and sister-in-law Yvonne (Marvin) Beckner, plus a host of nieces, nephews, and dear cousins.

Robert was a graduate of Clemson University, and took a position at General Electric in June, 1963 and retired in 2002.  He completed course work for a Master's in Mechanical Engineering at U.C, and had an MBA from Xavier University.  He was a great Clemson Tiger fan, and an avid student of history, amassing a huge library during his lifetime.  He held a private pilot's license and loved flying gliders as well as flying model airplanes when he was younger.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Arden Courts of Kenwood and to Heartland Hospice for their care during the last few years.
