It is with a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Robin Jean Gaylord, who departed this life on October 27, 2025, in her cherished hometown of Hamilton, Ohio.
Robin was a beacon of love and devotion, embodying the roles of mother, grammy, sister, and aunt with grace and warmth. She is survived by her beloved children, Ross Elliott (Shiann) Gaylord and Eleni (David) Hughes, who carry forward her legacy of unconditional love. Her light shone brightly through her grandchildren—Mia, Liam, Emerie, and Ruby—who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter. Robin's sisters, Valerie Gaylord and Lisa (Newt) Bowen, along with her treasured nieces and nephews—Shannon (G) Kopelousos, Paul Gaylord (Cindy) Bowen, John (Lina) Bowen, Molly Jane Bowen, and Julia Lynn Bowen—will forever remember the bonds they shared with her, entwined in love and laughter.
Professionally, Robin dedicated herself to the art of nurturing and education, serving as a supervisor of Special Education for Hamilton City Schools. Her selflessness was evident in every facet of her life; she consistently placed the needs of others above her own, impacting students and colleagues alike with her unwavering support and compassion.
An avid reader, Robin found solace and adventure within the pages of the many books she cherished, allowing her imagination to explore infinite worlds. Her affinity for animals mirrored the depth of her compassionate spirit, and throughout her life, she shared her home and heart with those who offered their love so freely.
Familial bonds were the foundation of Robin's existence; each meal shared and every gathering celebrated were tokens of the love she cherished. Her generous heart and nurturing nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In honor of her vibrant spirit, the family invites all who attend the service to don something vibrant, celebrating the warmth and joy Robin brought to the world.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Susan Koman Breast Cancer, a cause that was close to Robin's heart.
As we remember Robin Jean Gaylord, let us carry forth her legacy of love, kindness, and unselflessness, inspiring us to cherish one another as she did.
