Rosena Craig Hagee, a cherished resident of West Chester Township, Ohio, transitioned peacefully into the arms of her Lord on November 9, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She leaves behind a profound legacy woven with love, dedication, and compassion.
A devoted mother, Rosena nurtured her children, Jonathan David, and Joseph Mark, along with their spouses, Rose “Tina” and Valerie. As a beloved grandmother, she treasured her time with Elizabeth, Joshua, Anna, and Margaret, and embraced her role as a great-grandmother to Gwendolyn and Freya; along with a host of beloved family and friends, bestowing upon them the warmth of her spirit.
Rosena was preceded in death by her parents John and Miriam Craig, her husband, Joseph Lynn Hagee Jr., her sister, Phyllis Alderdice, and her niece, Pamela Alderdice.
Rosena’s dedication to education is a testament to her unyielding commitment to helping others. For decades, she inspired her fourth-grade students, embodying the true essence of a teacher—nurturing minds while instilling life lessons that would resonate far beyond the classroom. She always joked that her mischievous and witty humor came from being around 10 year olds for so long. Her passion extended to her involvement with youth in Lego League events, where she joyfully bridged generations, fostering creativity and imagination in both young and old.
Nature held a special place in Rosena’s heart, tracing back to her roots as a tobacco farmer's daughter and flourishing through her granddaughters' love for horses. Through shared moments outdoors, she not only cherished their strength and beauty but also created lasting memories with her family, nurturing their shared passions.
Faith was the cornerstone of Rosena’s life, guiding her every action and devotion. A steadfast believer, she contributed significantly to her church community as one of its original founders, leaving a legacy of faith that will echo in the hearts of many who were touched by her selflessness and unwavering belief. Rosena's dedication to missions, both at home and abroad, influenced her family and friends to spread the word of God and to be a servant to those in need. She supported many service organizations and encouraged her friends' and family's pursuits in philanthropy.
Rosena had a gentle spirit that resonated with the somber yet hopeful nature of her favorite character, Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh. This affinity reflects her understanding of life’s challenges and her quiet resilience, always holding fast to hope and faith, even in times of trial.
Above all, Rosena’s greatest legacy resides in her family, the profound love she shared with each member. Her spirit, filled with kindness and grace, will forever remain imprinted in their hearts. Though she may no longer be seen in this world, her remarkable attributes and the love she imparted will continue to live on, cherished by those she held dear.
Rosena Craig Hagee will be remembered not only for her love and compassion but as a beacon of light whose influence will guide and inspire for generations to come.
Well done, good and faithful servant. Matthew 25:21
