Captain Ryan Andrew Whitaker, Esq., 36 of West Chester, OH passed away on Monday, December 4th, 2017. Ryan was born on March 28th, 1981 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. He was a loyal, loving husband and doting, caring father beyond measure. He was a devout Catholic and had
deep seated
Christian faith. Ryan was licensed to practice law in the great States of Ohio and Kentucky. He received his
under-graduate
degree from the University of Cincinnati while serving in the US Army ROTC program and his Juris Doctorate from Northern, Kentucky University. Ryan later served in the US Army as a Captain in the Judge Advocate Corps. Ryan is survived by his wife, Maria Whitaker; Daughter, Alyssa Michelle Whitaker; Mother, Miriam Louise Kolkmeyer; Father, James Andrew Whitaker; Mother-in-law, Liubov Shevchenko; Father-in-law, Anatoly Shevchenko; Sister, Ann Nicole Machado; Brother-in-law, Kyle Machado; Sister-in-law, Alena Buchaka, Brother-in-law, Maxim Buchaka; Nephews, Kyle Louis Machado, Jr.; James Ryan Machado (Godson) and Nieces, Katherine and Masha Buchaka. Ryan was a friend of Bill W. Ryan was a world traveler having visited several continents and enjoyed hunting, fishing,
hiking
and camping. He loved to be outdoors, immersed in nature and greatly enjoyed spending time with his loved ones. Ryan loved to laugh and his witty sense of humor will be remembered and greatly missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 8th, 6pm-8pm at Shorten & Ryan Funeral Home, 400 Reading Road, Mason, OH. The funeral and Catholic mass will be held
