Serena Dee Baker, a cherished resident of South Lebanon, Ohio, peacefully departed this world on August 8, 2025, enveloped in the love of her family.
Serena was the beloved daughter of Gayle Mason and shared a profound bond with her partner, Tim Motley. As a devoted mother, she embraced her role wholeheartedly, nurturing her two children, Nate (Britney) and Niki (Wes) Holloway, with unwavering love. Her heart expanded further with the arrival of her grandchildren, Buck, Adalyn, Glenn, Hudson, Waylon, and Meika, each holding a special place within her.
A sister to her brother Shea, Serena’s family connections were the cornerstone of her life. She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Shepherd, and her brother, Rex Shepherd, who will surely welcome her with open arms.
Throughout her career, Serena displayed a remarkable capacity for compassion, dedicating herself to helping individuals with disabilities. Her generous spirit touched the lives of many, reflecting a true gift for sharing love and kindness.
Serena's passion for sports was evident from her childhood as she played softball and grew to be an enthusiastic fan of football, especially the Cincinnati Bengals. Her love of the outdoors flourished during her time as a daddy's girl, where she often enjoyed working alongside her father, embodying the true essence of a tomboy with a heart of gold.
Creativity flowed through Serena, especially on her favorite holiday, Halloween. Her artistic talent brought her family joy through remarkable designs and beautiful artwork that will forever be remembered in their hearts.
At the core of Serena’s existence was her profound love for her family; they were her world and the keepers of her heart. Every day was an opportunity for her to express her love, a sentiment she carried with her until her final moments.
Serena's departure leaves a deep void in the lives of her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Her loving spirit will continue to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to know her. Now, Serena rides into eternity on her Harley Davidson, hand in hand with her father, embarking on their final journey together, united once more with her first love—her daddy.
