Sophia Ruth

Sophia Alice Ruth (nee Martin), born January 26, 1920, passed away December 24, 2016.  Survived by dear children Arnie (Kay) Ruth, Wilda (Samuel) de la Cruz, Regina (Ron) Ruter, Brenda Davis and Marcia (John) Rosado, cherished grandchildren Susan, Denise, Tonya, Eric, Dana, Marcos, Rebecca, Douglas, Brian, Samantha, Lance, Wes, Bret, William, Matthew, and Paul, beloved great-grandchildren Courtney, Ryan, Morgan, Chandler, Casey, Conner, Megan, Abby, Lindsey, Luke, Zach, Ben, Carson, Dylan, Quentin, Lauren, Joseph, Alyssa, Oliver, Claire, Cullen, Neo, Ethan, and loving great-great-grandchildren Noah, Emmarie, Blake and Payton, and cherished sister Edna Binion.  Preceded in death by loving husband Reginald Ruth, dear daughter Glenda Kay Wilson, and beloved grandson Dennis. Sophia enjoyed cooking, sewing, and tending to her garden.  She was a devoted member of her church, and most of all, loved spending time with her family .  The family of Sophia will be receiving friends for a visitation at Shorten and Ryan Funeral Home-West Chester (8791 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, West Chester, OH 45069) on Friday, December 30, 2016 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 1:00 PM.  Donations may be made in Sophia's honor to The American Cancer Society.
