Joan N. Barnhill, born December 28, 1934, passed away surrounded by loved ones on October 13, 2020.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, to Charles and Helen Newton, she moved and settled into Ohio after being recognized for her achievements as a self started business woman dealing with imports and exports. Joan is the loving mother of John (Jodi) William Barnhill, Donna (Tom) Marie Crist, Jeffrey (Sue) Charles Barnhill, Julie (Richard "Dickie") Ann Cole, cherished grandmother of Chrissy, Jacob, Joshua, Joe, Ben, Sam, Katie, Matthew, Erin, Patrick, Madison, and Nathan, beloved great-grandmother of Alexis, Payton, Paige, Aubrey, Dennis, and Vienna, and dear sister of Betty Roberts.  Joan was an avid walker and golfer.  She enjoyed being involved in her community, faith, and family.  The family of Joan will be greeting guests at St. Susanna Catholic Church (616 Reading Rd., Mason, OH 45040) on Friday, October 23, 2020 from 10:30 until 11:00 AM.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place immediately following at 11:00 AM.  A burial will be at Woodside Cemetery, in Middletown, Ohio.  The Mass will be available for livestreaming at St. Susanna's Website the day of service.  It is required and recommended by the church to please wear a face covering during the service.
